A members' club on the riverbank at Lungarno Soderini where two euro buys a year's membership and access to a shaded terrace over the Arno.

An old-style circolo of the kind that used to hold neighbourhoods together, run as an outdoor bar and kitchen under large trees. Coffee and a cornetto in the morning, cheap drinks and full meals in the evening, round tables cut from tree trunks, and the river directly below. Almost no visitors find it, which is the reason it still feels like what it is.
