- Go for

- Skip if
- You want a restaurant. This is a cafe with pinsa and salads, and the point is the place rather than the plate.
What everybody agrees on
Read across roughly 1,100 public reviews on Google and Restaurant Guru in September 2026, plus local writing. Rated 4.5.
- Nearly all
The cloister is the reason. A green courtyard inside the former monastery of Santa Teresa, open to the public, in a part of Oltrarno visitors do not reach.
- Most
Nobody hurries you. People sit for hours with a laptop, a book or paints, and this comes up more often than the food does.
- Most
Prices are low for what it is, and reviewers say so with some surprise.
- Often
Safe for small children to run around in, which parents mention specifically.
- Often
The artisan studios open onto the same courtyard and can be visited from it.
- Some
Food is pinsa, salads and vegetarian plates. Good and homely rather than a destination in itself.
What to order
Pinsa and a cortado, then stay. If you are working here for hours, order something once an hour; the place runs on that and everyone local knows it.
Before you go
- Getting there
- Fifteen minutes on foot southwest of Ponte Vecchio, past Piazza Tasso.
- Working here
- Free wifi and desks. Bring headphones on event days.
- Events
- Concerts, readings and workshops through the year, more in summer.
- With children
- The courtyard is enclosed.
The old convent complex now holds craft workshops and artists’ studios, and the cafe sits in the cloister at the middle of them. There is a newspaper and book corner, work desks with free wifi, pinsa and salads at prices that have not been adjusted for visitors, and a green courtyard that is open to the public.
The courtyard is the reason to come. Children can run around it safely, you can sit with a laptop for hours without anyone hurrying you, and the artisan workshops are reachable straight from it. Cultural events run through the year, more of them in summer.
Open Tuesday to Saturday 9:00 to 23:00 and Sunday 9:00 to 20:00. Via Giano della Bella, about fifteen minutes on foot southwest of Ponte Vecchio.
