What everybody agrees on
Read across public reviews on Google and TripAdvisor plus Italian city writing in September 2026.
- Most
The garden is the reason. Tables under trees against the old wall, with the Arno on the other side of the path.
- Most
It runs from breakfast through to late, and Florentines use it at every one of those hours.
- Often
It sits on the cycle and walking path along the river, which is why so many people arrive on bikes.
- Some
It fills on warm evenings and there is no way to reserve the good tables.
What to order
Come at seven, take a table in the garden, and stay for dinner if one comes free. Arriving at nine usually means standing.
Before you go
- Getting there
- Lungarno Santa Rosa, fifteen minutes west of Ponte Vecchio on the south bank.
- Best time
- Early evening in warm weather.
- Getting there by bike
- It is directly on the riverside path.
Open since 2016 on Lungarno di Santa Rosa, at the far end of San Frediano near the gate. The garden does most of the work: benches, trees, chairs on the grass, lights in the evening. The kitchen changes its menu roughly every three months with the seasons. It runs from morning until midnight, but aperitivo is what it is really for, and by eight the lawn is full.
